Tips to Maximize Post Engagement
We all know how to post to Facebook, but did you know there are some key strategies that could easily increase the impact your posts have on your business page?
1. Try posting off peak business hours. Why? If all businesses are posting during the workday, then your post will get lost in a sea of other company's posts. Instead, schedule your content to post after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
2. Go for quality over quantity. Your followers probably don't want to see things that your average person would find boring. Stay away from long text posts or repetitive information. And especially try to minimize ads. Nobody is on Facebook for ads. Rather than focusing on posting constantly, try to make sure what you post is interesting or useful to your audience. You'll probably see an increase in post clicks.
3. Ask questions! Get your audience engaged with guessing games, questions, prompts, contests, or whatever else fits your brand and gets them commenting. Engagement is key to more engagement, and questions have been shown to get the best engagement, so ask away!
4. Mix it up! Don't stick to one or two types of content. People get bored and will unfollow if they see posts they aren't interested in. Try posting a variety of media: short text posts like tips related to your business, photos of customers, images related to your business, memes or funny images if it's appropriate for your business, original videos, quizzes, informational blogs or articles, etc.
